Cocomar’s proximity to everything makes the choices ample, diverse and exciting. The city of Parrita is a ten-minute drive away and has banks, supermarkets, restaurants, shopping, churches and a medical clinic. There are taxis and bus service to Quepos, Jacó and San José. Parrita hasn’t yet become a tourist holiday town and retains the character and charm of a rural pueblo.
Try fishing in the estuary behind the property. You could choose to hire a local fisherman and his panga for tonight’s dinner. Your guide will even clean your catch for you. Then have Bernarda, the Cocomar’s Restaurant Manager and Owner’s wife, prepare a wonderful feast from your fresh catch of the day. This is what makes Cocomar a unique and memorable vacation!
At the boat launch you may be greeted by white-faced monkeys looking for a handout. Iguanas, sloths and many kinds of birdlife are among some of the tropical creatures you’re likely to see as you travel gently along the estuary casting into the manglars that line the shores.
